The Gift of the Trashi
|
Based on the story, "The Gift of the Magi," by O. Henry
Adapted by Kelly Campbell The Gift of the Trashi, is a new musical and interactive puppet performance focusing on friendship, sharing, and selflessness. It is Trashanalia Day, and Hank Bagman and best friend Egger are excited to exchange gifts with each other. They are quickly overwhelmed by sales pitches and dollar signs. Instead, they offer up their favorite prized possessions, Hank's Hat, and Egger's favorite egg, in exchange for gifts for their friend. In the end, they learn that hand made and gifts from the heart are more important than anything bought from a store. This silly homage to the classic tale "The Gift of the Magi" by O. Henry, is full of interactive songs, lessons on friendship and sharing, and several silly puppets made out of re-used and up-cycled items. Pricing starts at $250 Post- show puppet making crafts available upon request, additional fees apply. |
